When was the last time you did something for the first time?

I wanted to make shoes. I wanted to make and sell leather sneakers.

I knew nothing about leather. I googled leather-working and found a class 30 minutes away.

I woke up early that Saturday morning and went to class.

People walked into class with their leather purses, wallets, bags and other projects they were working on. Tools in hand.

I had nothing. I felt awkward. I felt clueless.

I told them I was a beginner and had no idea what I was doing.

They were immediately super helpful and friendly.

It ended up being a great experience.

I ended up realizing, in actuality I had no interest in leather-working, but I didn’t know until I tried.

You don’t know what may be your next thing unless your willing to try.

I haven’t done anything “for the first time” in a while….. I’m due.
