Uncomfortable Conversations

Tim Ferriss says something like, “A person’s success can be measured by the number of uncomfortable conversations he or she is willing to have”.

When looking internally you can see why this is true.

You don’t get the date with the girl unless you ask.

You don’t get the sale if you are too afraid to ask for the business.

You don’t get the job if you don’t apply.

You don’t say no to things you should if you are too afraid.

You don’t take advantage of new possibilities if you are too afraid to say you failed.

Anxiety, embarrassment, and fear…..feelings that suck. Can be powerful when taken advantage of and channeled correctly. and the feeling sucks less and less as you get more comfortable being uncomfortable.

You have to be able to handle these uncomfortable conversations and feelings in order to grow.
