Playing the short game can ultimately help your long game.
Long term goals are difficult. Primarily difficult because of the fact that they are inded “long term”.
They lack instant gratification and is sometimes hard to measure the progress. They lack accountability because it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The solution to this is setting short term goals that lead you to your long term goal.
It’s easier to create a plan of action when you see first hand progress. You create accountability for your long term goal by creating short term goals that will exponentially lead you to your ultimate goal.
Think long, do short.
(another one I don’t feel like revising. sorry for the flow.)
